The Original Canopy Tour Limon There is a magical place called Veragua (which means “to see water”) in the hills overlooking the Port of Limon, which is the home of The Original Canopy Tour Limon. The entrance to this tour is at a town called Liverpool, about 10 – 15 minutes west of the center of Limon. After a short drive along the main highway connecting Limon with the capital city of San Jose we will turn into the country-side for a closer look at rural life in Costa Rica. Only a 55 minute drive away you will find this Shangri-La called Veragua. There is no experience necessary for this amazing experience as our highly trained professional system operators will explain everything you need to now before you start the tour. You will then glide silently through the rainforest on our patented dual line safety system over streams and through the canopy level of the rainforest. You will have the opportunity of seeing uninterrupted views of virgin rainforest which stretches as far as the eye can see as this private reserve neighbors the largest park in Central America, called the Friendship Park which straddles the border between Costa Rica and Panama. After passing 9 traverses (the longest being almost 2 football fields in length) over the jungle floor (the highest point is about 150 feet above the forest floor) you will be returned safely back to the ground. After a short walk through the jungle you will return to the reception area where you can find refreshments and souvenirs to remind you of your once-in-a-lifetime experience.
